The candidate's clinical emphasis is flexible though a strong background with epilepsy, stroke, and HEM/ONC is preferred. The Neuropsychology Program is a member of the Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology (APPCN), and faculty routinely participate in teaching and supervising postdoctoral fellows. The position carries an academic appointment at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine, with rank commensurate to qualifications and experience.The primary responsibilities of the position include neuropsychological assessment, consultation with interdisciplinary medical teams, and treatment planning. Candidates with prior supervisory experience, the ability to manage a full clinical workload, and demonstrated readiness for autonomous clinical practice within an interdisciplinary pediatric medical setting are strongly preferred. Applicants must have:A doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical, counseling, or school psychologyCompleted two years of postdoctoral training in neuropsychology (adhering to Houston/Minnesota Conference Guidelines)Be boarded or board eligible in clinical neuropsychologyEligibility for licensure in Missouri and KansasAbout the Division of NeurologyThe Division of Neurology currently has 3 neuropsychologists, 21 neurologists, and 20 APPs. Providers see patients across the metro area in both Missouri and Kansas locations. The division houses the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center (accredited by the National Association of Epilepsy Centers, Level VI), Comprehensive Movement Disorders and Spasticity Clinic, Tuberous Sclerosis and Neurofibromatosis Clinic, Angelman Syndrome Clinic, Headache Program, and Stroke Program.Candidates at all levels of experience are encouraged to apply.
