As a Sourcing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our strategic sourcing and vendor management efforts across crucial spend categories such as Technology, Professional Services, and Contract Labor. Under the guidance of the Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing and in collaboration with the Sourcing Manager, you will help implement sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and provide valuable insights based on data to support our cost-efficiency and performance goals. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and enthusiastic about growing within a strategic sourcing capability in a dynamic, high-growth, and data-focused environment. Your responsibilities will include: Sourcing & Category Support: Assist in executing category strategies and sourcing initiatives for Technology, Contract Labor, and Professional Services. Market Research: Conduct market research and supplier identification to prepare sourcing recommendations. Sourcing & Negotiation: Aid in the RFx processes (RFI/RFP/RFQ), supplier evaluations, and commercial negotiations to secure the best cost, quality, and delivery results. Contracting & Renewal Support: Work collaboratively with Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders to facilitate contract reviews, approvals, and necessary documentation. Contract Tracking: Monitor contract expirations and renewals to ensure timely renewals or the initiation of competitive sourcing efforts. Spend Analysis & Reporting: Analyze spend data to identify opportunities, track savings, and measure performance. Reporting: Create reports, dashboards, and presentations to effectively communicate sourcing activities, savings, and insights to internal stakeholders. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Finance, Legal, IT, and business units to gather requirements, support sourcing projects, and align with company objectives. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline the Source-to-Pay process, increase automation, and enhance sourcing efficiency using tools like Coupa. Risk & Compliance: Ensure adherence to sourcing policies, vendor due diligence requirements, and financial controls while proactively assessing and mitigating risks. What you will bring to Datavant: Experience: 2-4 years in procurement, sourcing, or vendor management, preferably within a tech or high-growth setting. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Finance, or a related discipline. Technical Skills: Proficiency in procurement technologies (Coupa experience highly favored), along with strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills and familiarity with spend analytics tools. Key Competencies: Analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent negotiation and communication abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Highly organized with the capability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders. A collaborative team player with a focus on continuous improvement. Bonus points if you have: Experience with M&A integration projects. Expertise in managing technology, BPO, or professional services categories. The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is $77,000-$90,000 USD.
