Used Car Reconditioning Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Used Car Reconditioning Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing pre-owned vehicles for resale by performing thorough inspections, repairs, and detailing to ensure they meet our high-quality standards. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive vehicle evaluations to identify necessary repairs and improvements. Perform mechanical repairs, including brake work, engine diagnostics, and suspension adjustments. Collaborate with the sales and service departments to prioritize and complete vehicle reconditioning tasks efficiently. Execute detailed cleaning and cosmetic enhancements, including exterior washing, waxing, interior vacuuming, and upholstery treatment. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized workspace. Accurately document all inspection and repair activities for quality assurance and reporting purposes. Test drive vehicles to verify repair work and ensure optimal performance. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to vehicle maintenance and reconditioning. Qualifications Proven experience as an automotive technician or in a similar role within the automotive industry. Strong mechanical aptitude and a deep understanding of vehicle systems and components. Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools effectively. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify even minor defects or issues. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
