Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in delivering personalized treatment plans that help patients regain strength and mobility
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities tailored to their recovery goals
- Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately
- Educate patients and families on at-home exercise programs and injury prevention techniques
- Collaborate with the rehab team to adjust treatments for the best possible outcomes
- Foster a safe, encouraging environment that promotes patient confidence and independence
Qualifications
- Active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in New Hampshire
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings is a plus
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility compliance requirements
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of therapeutic exercises and rehabilitation techniques
- Understanding of patient documentation and HIPAA regulations
- Skill in operating therapy equipment and modalities
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Patient-centered mindset with a focus on safety and encouragement
