Project Engineer III

Position Summary The Project Engineer III is responsible for planning and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to ensure projects are completed on budget and schedule. Duties include upholding project standards by researching compliance regulations, developing project implementation plans, adjusting specifications, and managing the planning and processes of a project. Responsibilities Conduct regular meetings with team leads, stakeholders, and clients to ensure program and project requirements are met on schedule. Delegate tasks to team members according to their skill sets, experience, and abilities. Maintain budgets and adjust according to needs as they arise. Track performance and analyze the completion of key goals to meet contract requirements. Document and report project progress to team leads, stakeholders, and clients. Additional Requirements Work collaboratively with others; be a team player. Have great attention to detail. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Have excellent mechanical ability and a preference for hands‑on work. Strong work ethic and pride in work products. Be interested in technology and willing to learn new things. Education & Experience BS or MS in Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 6 years post‑graduation employment experience. Basic understanding of engineering program processes. Desired Specialized Skills and Knowledge Proficient in MATLAB and/or other relevant surfacing‑capable CAD software. Basic understanding of CAD mechanical design software such as Creo, NX, or CATIA. Experience with vehicle‑based prototype manufacturing environments (motorsports, defense, or automotive). Physical Demands Working primarily in an office environment. Occasionally work with manufacturing support. Occasionally work outside in austere testing environments. Compensation Pay Range: $91,500.00 - $148,100.00. The above range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Individual pay is determined by factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role, candidate experience, education, skills, and equity among team members in similar positions.
