The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in delivering direct patient care, supporting the healthcare team, and ensuring the health and safety of patients. This role includes administering medications, monitoring vital signs, providing wound care, and educating patients while supervising nursing assistants to maintain high standards of care within the clinical setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and comfort measures
- Administer medications as prescribed
- Monitor and record vital signs
- Perform wound care and assist in treatment plans
- Document patient information accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families on health management
- Enforce infection control protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare team members
- Supervise nursing assistants ensuring quality care delivery
Required Qualifications
- Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in practical nursing
- Diploma or Certificate in Practical Nursing
