Scale Operator – Recycling Facility Location: Huntsville, AL 35811
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour 
Shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm, Monday –  Friday

About the Job: As a Scale Operator, your responsibilities will include:

• Operating the truck scale for inbound and outbound commercial/private loads
• Accurately entering weights, deductions, and supplier information into the system
• Routing drivers based on daily needs for WestRock and third-party suppliers
• Creating and managing paperwork for all loads
• Answering plant phone calls and delivering exceptional frontline customer service
• Maintaining daily logs and generating requested reports
• Assisting in planning pickups with drivers and suppliers
• Ensuring compliance with federal regulations for outbound loads
• Keeping the scale equipment operational and calibrated

This job is for you if you have:

• A high school diploma or GED
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, fractions)
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask
• Proficient computer skills (Excel, Outlook)
• Proficiency in reading/interpreting bills of lading, safety documents, and related paperwork
• Good communication abilities, in person and on the phone
• Prior experience in an office or logistics environment (a plus!)

Additional Details:

• Must be able to start after cleared drug test (background check may run concurrently)
• Must be able to maintain good attendance
• Office equipment (fax, copy machine) proficiency needed
• Commitment to customer service is essential
