Bring your expertise in Special Education to a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting educators and students across TK-12th grade as a Teacher On Special Assignment (TOSA) in beautiful Mariposa, CA. This full-time role is dedicated to coaching new special education teachers, guiding them through SEIS (IEP) processes, and supporting behavior interventions—with no direct classroom teaching. You’ll collaborate closely with the Special Education Director, helping elevate student success throughout the district while enjoying a varied and impactful workday.

What you’ll bring:

• Active California Mild/Moderate Special Education credential (required)
• Experience with SEIS (IEPs), behavior interventions, and coaching or mentoring other teachers
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability and willingness to drive to schools throughout the district as needed (servicing 8 different campuses)
• Passion for supporting fellow educators and advancing special education best practices

Key responsibilities:

• Mentor and assist new Special Education teachers, providing guidance on SEIS and instructional strategies
• Advise on student behavior interventions and support positive classroom management
• Collaborate with the Special Education Director to identify areas of need and provide responsive support
• Serve as a key district resource, ensuring compliance and helping new educators grow in their practice
• Travel occasionally between school sites to provide onsite coaching and assistance
