About the Role

The Company is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to play a pivotal role in the company's go-to-market strategy in the United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for accelerating deal velocity in the Enterprise and Mid-Market sectors, with a focus on making principled risk calls. This role involves handling complex commercial SaaS agreements, particularly with a special emphasis on clients in the banking and financial services sectors. The Senior Legal Counsel will also be tasked with creating and localizing playbooks and processes for the US-based go-to-market teams, as well as providing expert advice on a range of legal matters including privacy, data security, AI, US expansion, and other regulatory issues. Applicants for this position should have a minimum of 6 years' of experience in commercial SaaS deal handling, with a strong background in privacy and marketing issues, and the creation of commercial playbooks and processes. Familiarity with federal and state public sector procurement, open source and AI licensing issues, and experience in early-stage commercial and IP dispute assessment are also highly valued. The role offers a unique opportunity to be the first US-based commercial/privacy in-house counselor with the company, and the candidate will have the chance to build and lead the US legal function. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, a proactive problem solver, and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
