Bartender

Position Summary:Under the direction of the F&B Manager, the Bartender provides knowledgeable, prompt, friendly and courteous service of food and beverage to our hotel and casino guests.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assists all Food and Beverage team members to produce a smoothly and efficiently run operation that meets the highest standards of customer service.Responsible for prompt, efficient and courteous customer service to all casino guests in accordance with department standards.Must be able to demonstrate and maintain service level standards.Take food and beverage orders from guests.Mix ingredients such as liquor, soda, water, sugar, and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks.Prepare alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverages using standard recipes and practicing portion control.Serve wine and draught or bottled beer.Deliver food from kitchen to guests.Frequently checks back with and entertains guests.Observe bar guests to respond to any additional requests and to determine when meal has been completed.Maintains cleanliness of guest areas and bar at all times to include removing empty glasses/bottles.Responsible for receiving payment from customers in a prompt and courteous manner.Abides by all State, Federal and Company liquor regulations pertaining to alcoholic beverage service and intoxicated guests.Responsible for adhering to established cash control policies and procedures.Must be able to multitask in busy environmentOpen to new challenges and tasks on a daily basis.Must be able to follow all standards for health and safety protocols.Must keep all service areas stocked with necessary suppliesMust be able to work all shifts and HolidaysAll other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or GED preferred.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent customer service skills.Must be able to stand for an entire 8 hour shift.Must be able to read and speak English.Must be able to carry out tasks with limited supervision.Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift 50 lbs.Must be able to work in several areas.Excellent customer service skills.Have a professional appearance.Must be able to do the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.Must be able to smile at all times while on casino property, and able to promote a positive professional attitude.At least 21 years of age.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
