Account Manager, Employee Benefits

Our growing commercial insurance brokerage has an opening for an Employee Benefits Account Manager hybrid to our Schaumburg, IL location. This role will manage a book of small group clients and handle renewals, implementations, and ongoing benefits administration. You'll collaborate closely with producers and internal team members to deliver a high-touch client experience while helping clients navigate renewal strategy, compliance, and enrollment. The team is structured to allow Account Managers to focus on relationship management of the client. Location: Schaumburg, IL (Hybrid; we often work from home, but successful candidates must be willing to visit clients and/or the office as the need arises) Benefits: Competitive benefits package Responsibilities Manage a book of small group employee benefits clients, handling renewals, implementations, and ongoing service. Develop renewal strategies, order carrier renewals, and prepare proposals, benefit comparisons, and contribution models. Act as the primary client contact for benefit, renewal, and service-related matters. Lead new group implementations and manage renewal and onboarding timelines. Collaborate with Benefit Analysts, Benefit Communication Specialists and Customer Service team members as needed. Utilize Ease, Benelinx, Mineral and Zywave to ensure compliance, support audits and answer client questions. Qualifications Experience: 2+ years of employee benefits account management experience, preferably with small group clients. Licensing: Active Life & Health license required. Technical Skills: Strong experience with Ease / Employee Navigator Familiarity with Benelinx client management system preferred Skills & Traits: Excellent communication and client-facing skills Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple renewal and implementation timelines Detail-oriented with a proactive, service-driven mindset Team player, friendly, growth-minded We are a growing company looking for people who want to grow with us!
