Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nursing staff and assist patients in their daily activities, ensuring a high standard of care. This role is critical in maintaining the self-being of patients in various settings, including hospitals, assisted living facilities, and trauma centers.

Schedule

Full time- TBD - Weekends Required

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
• Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
• Help patients with mobility and transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of patient rooms and common areas.
• Document patient care activities accurately in medical records.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans for patients.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
• Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures at all times.

Requirements

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Previous experience working with children is a plus.
• Familiarity with medical-surgical environments or hospital medicine is beneficial.
• Knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is advantageous.
• Experience in Level I or Level II Trauma Centers is desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in both inpatient settings and assisted living facilities.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Certification as a Nursing Assistant or equivalent training is required.
