Job Description Florida Turbine Technologies (FTT) is a leading turbomachinery and jet engine aerospace engineering company based in Jupiter, Florida. The company is growing and employs over 300 engineers and technicians with a combined experience of more than 4,000 years in aerospace, industrial, and space turbomachinery. General Job Summary The Assistant Buyer is a full‑time, on‑site position in our Jupiter, FL office. The Assistant Buyer will perform day‑to‑day purchase activities for the Manufacturing Operations Engineering team, including placing orders for goods and services. Essential Job Functions Works directly with Manufacturing Operations Engineers to process requisitions. Reviews requisitions for formal RFQ processing and submittal to suppliers. Works with suppliers to obtain product or service information such as delivery schedules. Obtains vendor information and helps set up new vendors in compliance with government requirements. Prepares purchase orders using Costpoint. Obtains certifications of delivery and conducts checks against orders. Communicates purchase order/project status with internal customers. Maintains required procurement records associated with CPSR. Coordinates with Manufacturing Operations Engineers for the Receiving & QC process to support accounts payable. Maintains sensitive and confidential information as required by company and government requirements. Performs other job duties as assigned. Experience and Skills Possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the assigned duties. High level of analytic ability. Communicates and interacts effectively with peers, supervisors, and public, following company policies. Willingness and ability to learn and utilize company technology for required purposes, including training, reviewing, and signing policies and procedures, benefits enrollment, and changes. Thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic work environment, supporting teams with varying requirements. Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, and/or government regulations. Education and Experience Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Work Environment / Physical Requirements Office/Lab/Warehouse environment. Must be able to lift to 25 lbs if necessary. Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time. Ability to perform repetitive motion using common tools/equipment of the trade.
