THE WORKAs an Environmental Safety and Health Engineer with Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS), your role is pivotal in ensuring a safe and environmentally responsible workplace. Your responsibilities will encompass both operational and strategic aspects of the site's Industrial Hygiene programs and the Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) management system. You will also play a crucial role in supporting teams engaged across RMS.Key responsibilities:• Provide comprehensive environmental, safety, and health services to maintain a secure and compliant workplace.• Focus areas may include Ergonomics, Injury and Accident Investigations, Fall Protection, EPCRA reporting, Stormwater Management, Communications, ESH Metrics and Trends, ESH Management System, ESH Training Management, ESH Procedure Management, Safety Committees, Emergency Evacuations & Crisis Management, Electrical Safety, Contractor Safety, Cranes & Slings, Hazard Communication, Powered Industrial Trucks• Represent the organization at various levels, effectively conveying the company's strategy and objectives.• Offer leadership and team support to ESH department members.WHO WE ARELockheed Martin is a global leader in defense, aerospace, and advanced technologies. Assists in planning for changes in physical facilities to meet new environmental requirements. Finds, evaluates, and prepares contracts for properly licensed hazardous and radioactive waste disposal firms and monitors waste handling. Organizes and equips spill-control teams. Writes and updates environmental and spill-control manuals and procedures. Prepares environmental impact statements and applies for all new permits and renewals. Provides input to federal and state regulators through trade associations and industry groups for the writing and revision of regulations.Basic Qualifications• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with 3 years or more of professional experience• Experience with OSHA, safety and health standards, EPA, state and local environmental regulations and programs• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint• U.S. Citizenship required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD Secret clearanceDesired Skills• Professional ESH experience in a manufacturing, test, or industrial environment• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA, and Environmental requirements, regulations and associated compliance programs• Strong working knowledge of Environmental, Safety and Health (ESH) programs, including ergonomics, fall protection, electrical safety, confined spaces, and hazard communication• Experience conducting injury, accident and close call investigations, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions• Experience leading or supporting safety committees and cross functional efforts• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage employees at all levels and promote a positive safety culture• Knowledge of emergency preparedness, evacuation planning and crisis management practices• Experience with industrial safety programs, including cranes & slings, machine guarding, aerial lifts, and powered industrial trucks• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and programs simultaneously• Proficiency in problem-solving, risk assessment and hazard identification techniques • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and be flexible• Ability to work effectively within a diverse population and collaborate with peers and leadershipPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $72500.00 - $134600.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
