Conduct test drives and utilize diagnostic tools and specialized service equipment to assess vehicle systems and components. Diagnose, maintain, and repair key automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, and more. Communicate directly with the Service Advisor to ensure customers are informed of any additional service needs and provide estimated timelines for further repairs. Complete warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Qualities We’re Looking For A or B Level experience at an automotive dealership. Automotive Technical School certificate. ASE certificates in the GMC family of vehicles are a plus. Strong understanding of the service drive. High school diploma or equivalent. Dexterity, requiring a steady hand and excellent hand‑eye coordination. Mechanical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent customer service skills. Basic computer competencies. Positive, friendly attitude with a customer service mentality. Openness to constructive feedback to improve performance and development. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Team player with ability to collaborate with others effectively. Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications. Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
