Job Overview Senior IT Internal Auditor – Internal Audit department, LPL Financial. The role involves executing technology and integrated internal audits, SOX/SOC1 control reviews, evaluating evidence and testing remediation of control issues, and various ad‑hoc projects as assigned. Roles & Responsibilities Test controls and prepare audit work papers with minimal assistance from AVP/VP. Lead and execute all audit phases including planning, testing, control evaluation, and issue remediation. Conduct audits in accordance with department and professional standards, completing assignments timely and efficiently. Mentor staff‐level IT auditors on assigned projects. Collaborate with business units and audit colleagues to identify and assess risk and controls for adequate audit coverage. Test and report on the adequacy and effectiveness of management controls. Recommend improvements to the control environment through audits or project participation. Complete assigned and ad‑hoc projects promptly, accurately, and professionally. Maintain and enhance skills through ongoing education and training activities to support company needs. Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Information Systems/Technology, or related discipline. 2‑6 years of relevant financial services internal or external audit, compliance/risk, technology or related area experience. Pursuing or attained IT Audit certification (CISA). Strong collaboration, client‑service focus, integrity, and drive to help clients succeed. Understanding of governance, risk, and control appropriate to the organization. Process analysis, business intelligence, and problem‑solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to present complex issues to management. Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently with minimal supervision. Working knowledge of technology risks such as cybersecurity, IT operations, and application controls. Preferred Certifications Technical IT certifications (Security+, CISM, CISSP). Applicable audit designations (e.g., CIA, CFE, CPA). Broker/Dealer specific licenses (Series 7, 24, etc.). Pay Range $88,889.00 – $148,114.00. Actual base salary varies based on factors including relevant skill, prior experience, education, peer comparison, performance, and geographic location. EEO Statement Principals only.
