Position Title

Residential Security Team Member – Executive Protection

Position Overview

We are seeking professional, dependable, and highly observant Residential Security Team Members to provide protective services for private residences and executive clients. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through proactive security measures, access control, surveillance monitoring, patrol operations, and rapid response to incidents or emergencies.

The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service, communication skills, sound judgment, situational awareness, and the ability to operate discreetly in high-profile residential environments. Prior military, law enforcement, executive protection, or private security experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide residential security and protective presence for executives, family members, guests, and property.
• Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols of residences and surrounding property.
• Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, access control systems, and other security equipment.
• Control and document all visitor access, deliveries, contractors, and vendors.
• Identify suspicious activity and respond appropriately to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies.
• Maintain detailed activity logs, incident reports, and daily security reports.
• Assist with executive arrivals, departures, and transportation coordination as needed.
• Conduct perimeter checks and security sweeps of residential properties.
• Enforce security protocols while maintaining professionalism and discretion.
• Coordinate with local law enforcement, emergency responders, and management when necessary.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding clients, residences, schedules, and operations.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to pass background investigation.
• Strong communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, and performing patrol duties for extended periods.
• Schedule availability, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior military, law enforcement, executive protection, or private security experience.
• Current BSIS guard card and exposed carry card.
• CA CCW
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certification.
• Experience working in high-net-worth or high-profile residential environments.
• Executive protection or defensive tactics training.
• Military veterans are highly encouraged to apply.

Covered Six continues to provide support to public safety for a municipality in the greater Los Angeles area. Covered Six is currently looking for qualified armed protective officers. Covered Six works closely with a municipality located in the Los Angeles area performing a wide variety of duties using a true concierge approach. The assignment(s) consists of uniformed vehicle and foot patrol, and rapid deployment during civil unrest (mobile field force).

Covered 6 is a group of highly experienced trainers and consultants with backgrounds in law enforcement, military, legal community and corporate security. Many of our cadre have gained their experience in austere environments, real life combat scenarios, and major crisis management, both stateside and abroad.

We have pooled this talent to provide the best possible resources available for our exclusive clients and organizations. For information on the background of the instructor or consultant for a specific course or service please contact us and we will release that information on a "need to know" basis. Many of our subject matter experts are currently working in sensitive assignments or deployed with the military.
