Radiology Technologist

Overview Sentara is hiring a Radiology Technologist in the Woodbridge area. This is a Full‑Time, Weekend Day Shift opportunity with great benefits. A 20K sign‑on bonus is available for qualified candidates. Responsibilities The Radiology Technologist conducts general diagnostic radiological imaging studies of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician, to include positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment/medications, and maintaining adequate supply inventory. The Radiology Technologist explains examination and procedure to the patient and completes departmental documentation. Grandfathered staff at time of merger with military radiologic technologist training will be accepted in lieu of ARRT registry. Qualifications Trade School graduate – Radiologic Technology. Registry eligible graduate in lieu of ARRT, must obtain ARRT registry within 180 days of hire. Basic Life Support (BLS) – Certification – American Heart Association (AHA) RQI.
