Infection Control NurseSNF located in Somers, NYSalary: $90K to $105K rangeQualifications:Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) licenseStrong knowledge of CDC, CMS, OSHA, and NYS Department of Health regulationsMust have long term care/nursing home experienceInfection Control Certification strongly preferredExcellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skillsResponsibilities:This role is responsible for monitoring infections, ensuring regulatory compliance, educating staff, conducting surveillance, and implementing evidence-based practices to protect residents, visitors, and staffOversee the Infection Prevention & Control Program in accordance with CDC, CMS, and NYS DOH guidelinesConduct infection surveillance, tracking, reporting, and trend analysisInvestigate and manage outbreaks while implementing containment measuresEducate and train staff on infection prevention practices, PPE, hand hygiene, and isolation precautionsPerform infection control rounds and audits throughout the facilityMonitor antibiotic stewardship initiativesEnsure compliance during state surveys and regulatory inspectionsCollaborate with medical providers, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomesMaintain accurate documentation and required infection control reports
