This is a discipline role covering electrical subcontracting across our portfolio, from scope development and bid evaluation through negotiation and change management. Located in Scottsdale, AZ, this position is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship.Our TeamYou will join DEPCOM's Subcontracts function within Supply Chain, reporting to the Director of Subcontracts, and work daily with Project Managers, Field Operations Managers, Bidding & Estimating and Engineering. What You Will DoDevelop and evaluate electrical scopes of work and identify gaps before awardEvaluate subcontractor bids, pricing and execution capability, and provide award recommendations to Project ManagementLead commercial negotiations with electrical subcontractors on scope, terms, pricing and change orders against the project estimateOwn and develop DEPCOM's relationships with electrical subcontractors, serving as their primary point of contact across the portfolioIdentify and qualify new electrical contractors and maintain a capable, resilient partner baseMonitor work concentration across the electrical partner baseSupport Project Management on subcontract versus self-perform strategyProvide market intelligence on electrical contractor capability, capacity and pricingEscalate higher-risk commercial and contractual matters to the Director of SubcontractsWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Experience in electrical construction gained with an electrical contractor, as a subcontracts manager at an EPC, or in construction management, field engineering or project engineering at an EPCExperience negotiating commercial terms, pricing or change orders directly with contractors or suppliersExperience reading and interpreting construction drawings and specificationsExperience developing or evaluating scopes of work and pricing for electrical constructionWhat Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifcations)Utility-scale solar or electrical construction experienceDemonstrated success building and maintaining long-term contractor or supplier relationshipsWorking knowledge of electrical balance of system, DC and AC collection systems, trenching and ground gridFamiliarity with high voltage scope and with directional boringExperience with commissioning and testingBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Business or a related fieldAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
