Low-Voltage Technician

IDR is seeking a Low-Voltage Technician to join one of our top clients in Alpharetta, GA. If you are looking for an opportunity to join a growing organization and thrive within a team-oriented culture, Position Overview/Responsibilities for the Low-Voltage Technician: Engage in the installation, replacement, and troubleshooting of network and low-voltage infrastructure, focusing on commercial technology deployments. Perform hands-on tasks such as installing network switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, as well as structured cabling with Cat6 and Cat6A. Conduct field deployments throughout the Southeast, ensuring seamless network connectivity and infrastructure integrity. Maintain detailed documentation of installations, including capturing photos, serial numbers, and test results, while providing exceptional customer service. Collaborate with remote engineers and project managers, representing our client's team professionally at customer sites. Required Skills for Low-Voltage Technician: Must possess an active Georgia low-voltage license and have hands-on experience with low-voltage and structured cabling. Proficient in network deployment, including installing and replacing network switches and wireless access points. Skilled in structured cabling tasks such as RJ45 termination, patch panel work, and cable management. Comfortable with physical fieldwork, including climbing ladders and working in network closets. Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with VIP clients and team members. What's in it for you?
