Production Manager

Job Details:The expectation of this position is to lead and direct hourly team members to provide quality products that meet company standards while achieving financial and business objectives.Essential FunctionsProvide quality products to customers globally.Achieve production objectives.Achieve daily hatch objectives.Achieve safety objectives.Develop and retain qualified team members.Ensure TSA and NPIP compliance related to Cobb business activities.RequirementsEducationRequires broad knowledge in a general professional field normally acquired through four (4) years of college, resulting in a bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.ExperienceTwo (2) or more years of poultry management-related experience.Computer SkillsProficient in Microsoft Office.Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals using available computer programs.TravelFour (4) or more domestic trips per year.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervises a team of approximately 20 or more hourly team members.Biosecurity RequirementsThe job site is a biosecurity environment that requires showering before entering the facility and may require multiple showers throughout the workday. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company.No jewelry may be worn on the job site except for approved medical identification jewelry.Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with any avian species, including chickens, ducks, and other birds.The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times.Must be willing to follow all Biosecurity Standards guidelines.Physical RequirementsMust use safe lifting techniques.While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; and talk or hear.The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Team members are expected to follow all required safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment.Relocation Assistance Eligible:YesWork Shift:1ST SHIFT (United States of America)Certain roles at Tyson require background checks.
