Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with over 2 years of ICU experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality bedside nursing care, work collaboratively with physicians to develop effective care plans, and lead a team in delivering exceptional patient care. This role emphasizes the importance of adherence to our strict attendance policy, ensuring all shifts are covered appropriately to serve our patient population effectively.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians in creating a patient-centered care plan.
• Provide bedside nursing care and implement medical orders effectively.
• Delegate tasks and oversee the functions of nursing assistants and ancillary personnel.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care plans and modify them as necessary.
• Facilitate patient conferences and teach patient discharge/transfer needs.
• Assume a leadership role by integrating evidence-based knowledge into practice and mentoring staff.
• Communicate relevant patient information effectively to the healthcare team.

Schedule

This position requires 12-hour day shifts with a guaranteed minimum of 36 hours per week.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
• Comfortable with floating to Emergency Department and Step Down units.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
• TCAR, TNCC, CCRN, and SCRN certifications are preferred.
• Previous travel experience and neuro-surgical or open-heart experience is a plus.
• A valid Michigan State RN license is required.
