This position is responsible for providing direct patient care, assisting physicians with procedures, and assisting with front office duties, as needed.Essential Position ResponsibilitiesObtain patient vitals and update patient medical history while inputting data collected into the electronic medical records systemPrepare patient for various procedures and/or examinations and assist physicians, as neededRefill provider-authorized medications via electronic, fax or phone as authorized and appropriateProvide direction, support, and counseling regarding medical therapies and medications as directed by the physicianServe as patient liaison and advocate, as neededSchedule surgeries and various diagnostic tests and provide scheduled date to the patientQualificationsEducation: Graduate of an accredited nursing programLicensure and Certifications: Licensed Practical Nurse license and CPR, required.Experience: Minimum of 2 years previous experience working as a LPN on an interdisciplinary team, preferred.Work Environment: This position will spend 80% of time standing and/or walking while pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. This position will spend 20% of time sitting while performing work in a standard office environment.
