California Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist

To enhance clinical documentation integrity, the full-time California Licensed Clinical Documentation Specialist will interpret clinical documentation, collaborate with healthcare providers, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines while working remotely. Key responsibilities Interpreting clinical documentation to improve accuracy and compliance with coding standards Collaborating with physicians and clinical staff to address documentation issues and enhance patient care Conducting reviews to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices in clinical documentation Required qualifications Five or more years of clinical experience as an RN or Physician and three years of experience in Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) CDI Credential (CCDS or CDIP) and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Medical School Graduate Strong knowledge of clinical documentation laws, coding guidelines, and utilization review criteria Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and maintain effective working relationships Excellent critical thinking skills to communicate effectively on clinical issues
