Clinical Research Assistant - Oncology

Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospital campuses, 31 outpatient centers, clinics, emergency rooms, urgent care sites, and more. This full‑time position is located in Torrey Pines and requires occasional travel to Hillcrest, Encinitas, and Oceanside. Position Overview The Clinical Research Assistant will join the Oncology Research Team and support the team across multiple Scripps hospitals and clinics. This role requires a fast learner with research and patient‑care experience. Responsibilities Support trial coordinators in oncology. Focus on data entry, patient follow‑up visits, and phone calls. Coordinate multiple aspects of clinical trials and other human research to ensure compliance with research protocol and IRB requirements. Manage regulatory documents and data submission, assist with IRB submissions, and keep internal data tracking systems up to date. Provide superior service to principal investigators and research sponsors within scope of responsibilities. Required Education / Experience / Specialized Skills 1 year in a health‑care setting or an allied health professional degree. Advanced written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Strong prioritization, organizational, and problem‑solving skills. Strong motivation and communication within a compact clinical team with aggressive timelines. Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office software. Required Certification / Registration American Heart Association BLS Preferred Education / Experience / Specialized Skills / Certification
