Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide expert pharmaceutical care in a critical access inpatient hospital setting supporting PRN needs from June 22nd through June 26th. This per diem position offers the opportunity to work in a small, 25-bed hospital with a census typically ranging between 8-15 patients. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, delivering direct pharmacy services in an inpatient environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently
Monitor and oversee pharmacy technician activities
Manage medication cart fills to ensure availability and accuracy
Utilize Pyxis automated dispensing systems for medication distribution
Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient care

Qualifications:

Current, clear, and active Kentucky pharmacy license
Minimum of one year recent inpatient pharmacy experience
Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a professional, patient-focused approach
Experience with Cerner electronic health record system preferred
