Pediatric Neurologist (New York)

Overview

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding Pediatric Neurologist to NYC Health + Hospitals/South Brooklyn Health. South Brooklyn Health is a redesigned health care campus featuring an 11-floor Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital with emergency care, modern labor and delivery suites, and state-of-the-art surgical services. The Health & Wellness Institute offers outpatient services from primary and preventive care to specialty services for children and adults. The hospital maintains a strong academic affiliation with SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine.

Opportunity Details

• Evaluate and diagnose neurological disorders in pediatric patients.
• Develop and manage treatment plans tailored to each patient, including medications, therapy, or surgical referrals.
• Provide ongoing management of chronic neurological conditions.
• Collaborate with other pediatric specialists, rehabilitation therapists, and social workers.
• Educate families on disease management, treatment options, and long-term care.
• Contribute to teaching and training of residents and medical students.

Qualifications

• Active NY State medical license
• Board certified or board eligible in Pediatric Neurology

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual Base Salary: $242,000 (Board Eligible); $252,000 (Board Certified) based on a 40-hour work week. Additional compensation may be available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
• Estimated total annual compensation: $361,720 (Board Eligible) and $372,720 (Board Certified), including base salary and benefits as outlined below.
• Additional compensation details:
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours per week: $55,520.
  • Projected bonus up to $40,000 based on quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) company contribution: 3% immediately, then 7% after one year of service (no employee match required).
  • Annual CME reimbursement.
