Bus Aide New Albany-Plain Local Schools, New Albany Plain Local School District, New Albany, Ohio Job Overview Provide safe transportation to students, supervise during bus rides, support students with special needs, maintain discipline, and comply with district health and safety policies. Responsibilities Assist in providing safe transportation and help students arrive at school. Assist bus drivers in supervising students and maintaining effective student discipline. Ensure students board and depart the bus orderly. Assist young or disabled students in boarding and departing the bus and care for their needs. Assist bus drivers and classroom teachers in resolving problems with students. Keep current on new information, innovative ideas, and techniques. Respond to information requests in a cooperative, courteous, and timely manner. Implement and follow all district health and safety policies; including precautions of the Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Control Plan. Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee. Job Details Total days per year: 187. Hours vary daily. Starting salary: $16.22 per hour. Position type: Full-time.
