Product Director

Own ScienceFair end-to-end as a GM/business owner, including growth, student outcomes, operating model, and the Indigo/Crimson Education relationship Own the commercial growth strategy across global markets Partner with country teams and sales leadership to increase penetration and build consistent sales processes and enablement Increase attach rates to Indigo Researcher and Innovator and grow ScienceFair International and LevelUp offerings Monitor pipeline, conversion, revenue, attach rates, and market-level performance Own the ScienceFair P&L, budget, unit economics, cost management, and sustainable margins Identify new commercial opportunities, markets, partnerships, and product extensions Own the quality and outcomes of the student experience, including research quality, handoff, submissions, advancement, and awards Build intervention systems for students falling behind and establish feedback loops for continuous improvement Build and manage operational infrastructure, including mentor allocation, scheduling, progression, and submissions Lead the operations team by establishing ownership, workflows, SLAs, and escalation processes Manage compliance processes including IRB, consent, and competition eligibility Create dashboards and reporting for student progress, commercial performance, and operational health Anticipate bottlenecks and develop scalable systems Manage contractors delivering the service As the role grows, hire, coach, and manage a dedicated ScienceFair team Act as product owner with responsibility for what is sold and how it works Evaluate and improve ScienceFair Regional, International/ISEF, and LevelUp offerings Define student profiles, positioning, and program structures Use outcomes, feedback, and competition results to drive product iteration and roadmap decisions Maintain standards for ISEF-ready research projects Requirements 4+ years of experience owning a business, product, program, or significant revenue line end-to-end Demonstrated ability to grow revenue through sales teams and cross-functional execution Experience building and scaling operational systems and processes Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects Background in education, academic programs, research, STEM, competitions, or youth programming is a plus Familiarity with ISEF, Regeneron STS, JSHS, Thermo Fisher, or other science competitions is a plus Experience taking a relatively new product or business line from early-stage execution to scalable growth is a plus Strong commercial and revenue ownership skills Understanding of pipeline, conversion, and attach-rate data Ability to build sales enablement for country teams Strong instinct for competitive, ISEF-ready student outcomes Ability to identify risks and intervene appropriately Operational and product thinking, including scalable solutions and roadmap decisions Analytical and data-driven decision-making Strong attention to detail Stakeholder management and clear, proactive communication Ownership, resilience, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure Ability to work in fast-moving, ambiguous environments Open to feedback and continuous improvement Core Competencies Demonstrates strong commercial growth strategy and operational management capabilities, with a focus on revenue ownership, student outcomes, and scalable systems.
