Substitute Custodian

Job TitleCompensation: Hourly rate of $15.00 per hour Hours: 8-hour shifts (AM and PM) Up to 800 hours per school year Main Duties: Cleaning of classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, gyms, bathrooms, offices and other rooms within a school or office site, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, etc. Set ups and take downs which may include moving furniture, chairs, tables and other large items Trash removal Other duties as assigned by the shift supervisor Requirements: Flexibility to work at multiple sites Ability to accept work on short notice Ability to lift at least 50 pounds Ability to be standing/walking for 4 to 8 hours Ability to push/pull garbage containers and janitorial equipment (vacuums, carts, garbage cans, etc.) Good communication skills Ability to relate/work with school staff Excellent work ethics Qualifications: Valid Illinois Driver's License Application Procedure: Apply online Selection/Hiring Process: Applications are reviewed on a regular basis and qualified applicants will be contacted.
