Participate in preoperative assessment and planning for selected surgical patients in collaboration with the care team. Demonstrate subject matter expertise regarding medications, treatment plans, and patient care standards throughout the perioperative period. Requirements Ability to serve as first assistant during eligible surgical procedures per granted privileges. Involvement in preoperative assessment and planning with the health care team. Knowledge of perioperative care standards and related medication management. Strong teamwork and communication with the surgeon, anesthesiologist, and OR staff.
