Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal

Pay: $38.00 - $48.00 per hour

Location: This is a fully on-site position in Sacramento, California, with a consistent Monday through Friday schedule.

Note: Must have at least 2+ years of litigation experience and 2+ years of experience working as a Paralegal or Law Clerk. Personal injury experience is strongly preferred.

Job Description

• Support attorneys handling personal injury litigation from inception through trial
• Create and update medical expense summaries, medical record summaries, and wage loss summaries
• Draft arbitration briefs, mediation briefs, and basic discovery motions
• Read and summarize deposition transcripts
• Create PowerPoint presentations for mediation, arbitration, and trial
• Respond to discovery, including interrogatories and requests for production
• Draft demand letters and prepare demand packages
• Conduct legal and general research
• Arrange and attend inspections
• Prepare legal and general correspondence
• Set up equipment and videotape depositions
• Communicate with prospective and existing clients
• Negotiate client liens under attorney supervision
• Assist with other litigation support duties as needed

Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation experience required
• 2+ years of Paralegal or Law Clerk experience required
• Personal injury experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate preferred
• Strong English language, writing, spelling, grammar, and proofreading skills required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PDF software, and basic office equipment required
• Strong attention to detail and document formatting skills required
• Motivated, self-directed, and organized professional preferred
