Portfolio Analyst - Private Equity

Portfolio Analyst role with leading middle-market private equity firm.

The role will support investment evaluation, portfolio analysis, portfolio value creation + internal AI/automation & data product initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support investment and portfolio analysis using data-driven insights
• Build and maintain analytics, reporting, and data infrastructure
• Develop dashboards and visualisations to support decision-making
• Analyse market, company, and third-party datasets
• Help automate internal processes and workflows
• Support the implementation of new data, technology, and AI tools
• Prepare analytical reports and presentations for stakeholders
• Contribute to the firm's data and AI initiatives

Candidate Profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years' experience in Investment Banking, Analytics, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, Consulting, or a similar environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
• Experience with Python, SQL, R, Java, Typescript, or similar technologies
• Interest in AI, data analytics, and technology-driven decision making
• Interest in financial markets, M&A, and investing
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
