New grads and experienced Sonographers welcome to apply. Position Details Day Shift: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Potential Sonographer differential on top of base rate No Call. No Weekends. RDMS or equivalent required. ARRT preferred but not required. $5,000 Sign‑On Bonus. Overview Barnes‑Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and one of the nation's top hospitals. It serves the catchment area of the Siteman Cancer Center and provides state‑of‑the‑art breast health services to women and men. The Joanne Knight Breast Health Center and the Alvin C. Siteman Cancer Center offer full‑field digital screening mammograms, diagnostic mammograms, breast ultrasounds, core biopsies, cyst aspiration, and needle localizations. All examinations are performed by Certified Radiologic Technologists who are registered in mammography by the ARRT. Role Purpose The Registered Diagnostic Sonographer performs ultrasound imaging, including but not limited to abdominal, small parts, and obstetrical examinations, for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders, and assists with needle procedures such as biopsies, drainages, and needle placements. May also perform vascular imaging. Responsibilities Ensure proper function and readiness of all equipment. Perform ultrasound imaging examinations and document procedures accurately. Perform studies independently; may be called on for on‑call, portable exams, and at other sites as required. Minimum Requirements Education: Associate degree or equivalent trade school. Experience: None required. Supervisor Experience: None required. Licenses & Certifications: RDMS or equivalent. Preferred Requirements Experience: Less than 2 years.
