CONFIDENTIAL OPPORTUNITY – SENIOR PLANT CONTROLLER

Birmingham, Alabama $80,000 – $115,000 + Profit Sharing + Full Benefits We are partnering with a global manufacturing organization seeking a Senior Plant Controller to lead financial operations across multiple plant locations. This role serves as a key member of the leadership team, driving financial accuracy, cost control, and strategic decision-making in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. What You’ll Do Lead the month‑end close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and continuous improvement Drive and support Continuous Improvement initiatives from identification through execution Supervise and mentor a Senior Financial Analyst, ensuring high‑quality reporting and development Maintain general ledger integrity, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and issue resolution Oversee standard costing, inventory valuation, and COGS, including management of excess and obsolete inventory Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial modeling and actionable insights Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements; support internal and external audits Oversee financial performance and reporting for multiple manufacturing sites Partner closely with Plant and General Management to support operational and strategic decisions What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience) 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (required) Strong expertise in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting Proven experience with SOX compliance, internal controls, and audit support ERP experience required; SAP strongly preferred Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis); Power BI a plus Experience with reporting tools such as Business Objects, Longview, or similar platforms preferred Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills with the ability to influence cross‑functional teams Why This Role Competitive base salary + profit sharing (paid multiple times per year) Comprehensive benefits including medical, retirement with company contribution, and wellness programs High‑visibility role partnering directly with plant leadership Opportunity to drive measurable impact in a multi‑site manufacturing operation Stable organization with strong operational footprint and growth potential This is a confidential search .
