Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to interact with our residents and/or guests to ensure they have a great experience at Cloverwood Senior Living. The Cloverwood Host/Hostess is responsible for positive guest interactions while accurately scheduling reservations and providing To Go services for residents and/or guests. At all times, Host/Hostess are expected to be attentive to our residents and/or guests needs while making them feel welcome, comfortable, important and relaxed.

Essential Job Functions

• Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Cloverwood Senior Living
• Greet guests promptly and warmly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression
• Manage reservations and waitlists using restaurant systems or manual logs
• Escort guests to tables and provide menus in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate knowledge of table availability and seating rotations
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
• Answer incoming phone calls professionally and assist with guest inquiries
• Take and process to-go orders accurately, including entering orders into the POS system
• Confirm order details, provide pickup times, and ensure proper packaging of takeout orders
• Handle guest questions, concerns, and complaints courteously and escalate when necessary
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entry area
• Monitor dining room activity to support efficient seating and guest satisfaction
• Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
• Provide accurate information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies
• Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment
• Reset tables in bar area.
• Serve snacks or food items to guests seated at the bar.
• Recognize and learn the names of all residents and be familiar with repeat guests..
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offer suggestions for improvement.
• Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests' needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
• Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

Job Requirements

• Requires ability to relate and be respectful to a wide variety of people and provide superior customer service to all including Residents, co-workers, vendors, family members and visitors.
• Must wear employee badge, and proper uniform at all times while on-the-job.
• Must report to work on time, in uniform and adhere to attendance policy.
• Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding information about Resident, co-workers, vendors, family members and visitors.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Expectations of the Position

• Dependable, report to work on-time for every schedule shift (ready to work at beginning - start of shift) and work full schedule shifts unless physically unable or pre-approved Paid Time Off (PTO) which includes personal and vacation.
• Willing and able to work nights, overtime and weekends as required by the position and/or approved by management.
• Have reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be clean and neat in appearance and have a "friendly," hospitality-oriented, and service-oriented demeanor.
• Abide by work-related / job procedures and organization policies; (refer to the Employee Handbook).

Qualifications of the Position:

• A combination of experience, education, and/or training which substantially demonstrates the following knowledge and skills:
• At least 18 years of age
• Experience: Minimum of one year job related experience

• Must meet the general health requirements set forth by Cloverwood.
• May be requested to assist in the evacuation of Residents or perform other procedures to protect the safety of Residents, visitors and team members during emergency situations.
