Journeyman Electrician

This role focuses on installing, maintaining, and connecting electrical systems and tooling for manufacturing equipment and power distribution in a large semiconductor environment. You will work alongside licensed electricians and apprentices to complete installations, support equipment startup and commissioning, and ensure all work meets strict safety and documentation standards.

Responsibilities

• Install conduit, conductors, disconnects, panels, and related electrical equipment for new tooling and manufacturing systems.
• Perform electrical power distribution and tooling connections to support production equipment and facility infrastructure.
• Assist with equipment startup, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure proper operation and performance.
• Perform troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning support for electrical systems and manufacturing equipment.
• Execute lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and perform energized electrical work in accordance with safety requirements.
• Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Maintain compliance with all safety requirements and reporting processes, including documentation of incidents and near misses.
• Document completed work clearly and accurately, and support punch list resolution and commissioning documentation.
• Support completion of punch lists by identifying, tracking, and closing out outstanding electrical items.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas throughout the project.
• Collaborate with licensed electricians and apprentices to plan and safely execute project tasks.

• Active journeyman electrician license.
• High-voltage electrical experience working with 600 volts or more.
• Demonstrated experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and repair in industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for electrical systems and manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to perform power distribution and tooling connections safely and accurately.
• Proficiency in executing LOTO procedures and energized work in compliance with safety standards.
• Knowledge of PPE requirements and safe work practices in industrial and semiconductor environments.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and documentation.
• Supervisory skills to guide and coordinate work with apprentices and other team members.

• Previous experience working in semiconductor facilities is a plus.
• Experience with SAS Taylor environments or similar large-scale semiconductor operations is beneficial.
• Comfort working on large projects involving extensive power distribution and manufacturing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail for documentation, punch list tracking, and commissioning support.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods in a large facility.
• Capability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, safety-focused environment.
• Contractor provides their own hand tools, RMS meters, and PPE.

Work Environment

This position is based in a large semiconductor facility of over two million square feet, requiring extensive walking on hard cement floors and occasional access to clean rooms. The environment is highly controlled, with strict adherence to site rules and safety protocols. Work involves industrial and manufacturing equipment, power distribution systems, and tooling connections. You will use standard electrical hand tools, RMS meters, and appropriate PPE, which you are expected to provide. The setting emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and compliance with all safety and operational procedures.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Taylor, TX.

The pay range for this position is $54.29 - $54.29/hr.
