Growing together.The Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for operation sonographic equipment and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examination using sonography. Responsible for daily operation within the Imaging - Ultrasound Department, including patient schedules, reporting equipment failures and quality assessment.Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday 7 am - 5:30 pmLocation: South Eastern & Rancho Clinic (Las Vegas, NV)Primary Responsibilities:Following physician's orders, performs clinical assessment and diagnostic sonography examinations. (OB,ABD, Small parts, and Vascular)Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify record and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and imagesGreets, correctly identifies patient, prepares patient for examination and explains specific procedures to be performed in appropriate confidential areaAnalyses sonograms, synthesizes sonographic information and medical history and communicates findings to the appropriate physicianAccurately maintains patient imaging records, utilizing the Radiology Information System (R.I.S., and PACS/Synapse application in accordance with HIPPA and company guidelines, policies and proceduresObtains pertinent medical history from the patient, prepares preliminary reports for radiologist and contacts referring physician when required according to established proceduresMaintains ultrasound equipment and work area, and ensures adequate supplies are available, contacts service as requiredMonitor PACs/Synapse and RIS database for integrity of patient information and proper transferMay also be assigned to other modalities provided incumbent is certified or licensed in those modalitiesComply with annual mandatory Fit Testing as a job requirementYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Graduate of a formally accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography ProgramActive certification by American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)Current CPR CertificationVascular Certification or ability to obtain in 6 months of hireComplete 5 hours of CME specific to Breast Ultrasound within 30 days of hire or hold an active ARDMS Breast Registry1+ years of experience in fieldBasic computer skillsKnowledge of sonographic equipmentKnowledge of sonographic procedures and diagnosisFlexible to work overtime and on call as neededReliable transportationPreferred Qualifications:3+ years of experience in fieldEPIC and PACs experienceExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to effectively communicate technical procedures and results with patients and providersPay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
