Supply Chain Systems SpecialistLocation: Columbus, OHHybrid Schedule: Onsite Tuesday-ThursdayJob Summary The Systems Specialist reports into the Supply Chain organization and is responsible for supporting, optimizing, and governing Supply Chain technology solutions with a primary focus on Source-to-Pay (S2P) applications, including SAP Ariba and related platforms.This role serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring system capabilities align with business objectives, compliance requirements, and operational efficiency goals. This position requires an analytical mindset, understanding of procurement operations (including third party), a commitment to fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and transparency.Essential FunctionsServe as a functional subject matter expert for Supply Chain and S2P solutions, including SAP Ariba and related integrated applications.Provide day-to-day support for system users, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate resolution with internal IT teams and external vendors.Monitor system performance, identify opportunities for optimization, and recommend process improvements.Support application upgrades, releases, testing activities, and deployment efforts.Develop and maintain system documentation, training materials, and user guides.Provides guidance and recommendations to the Product Owner regarding system enhancements, issue resolution, and process improvementsParticipate in the testing, rollout, and documentation of new or upgraded supply chain applications; verify outputs, troubleshoot defects, and train end usersGovern supplier, material, commodity, purchasing, and organizational master data within Supply Chain systems.Coordinate data flows between procurement, inventory, logistics, and supplier-relation systems to ensure timely and accurate reporting of purchase orders, inventory levels, and supplier scorecardsSupport digital transformation and automation efforts for all supply chain applicationsRespond promptly to system disruptions or user inquiries, ensuring minimal impact on supply chain operationsDemonstrate a comprehensive understanding of procurement and supply chain solutions and stays up to date with industry trends and best practicesSupport continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reporting accuracy, usability, and accessibilityProvide accurate and timely supply chain reporting required to support enterprise strategic planning, as well as execute on day-to-day operationsSupport internal and external audits by providing necessary data and performance documentation.Communicate user requirements, system issues, and enhancement requests to the IT team, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and data governance standards.Establish and maintain strong relationships with IT, Procurement, Warehouse, and Finance teams for knowledge sharing and continual system optimization.Required Qualifications For PositionAssociate's Degree Business Analytics, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, or a related field.1-3 years data analytics, performance management, or business intelligence roles, with a strong preference for Supply Chain domain exposure.Excellent communication, strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Knowledge and experience in procurement, category management, warehouse/inventory management, or related functionAbility to identify challenges and propose creative solutionsFamiliarity with data governance principles, master data management, and system validation practices.Experience working with enterprise systems such as SAP, Ariba, Coupa, or similar tools.Drivers LicensePreferred Additional Qualifications for PositionBachelor's DegreePhysical DemandsStanding - FrequentlyWalking - FrequentlySitting - FrequentlyLifting - RarelyCarrying - RarelyPushing - RarelyPulling - RarelyClimbing - RarelyBalancing - RarelyStooping - RarelyKneeling - RarelyCrouching - RarelyCrawling - RarelyReaching - RarelyHandling - RarelyGrasping - RarelyFeeling - RarelyTalking - FrequentlyHearing - FrequentlyRepetitive Motions - RarelyEye/Hand/Foot Coordination - RarelyThe preceding description is not designed to be a complete list of all duties and responsibilities required of the position.As a public utility, NiSource provides essential services to customers 24/7.
