Wage: $18.00/hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk at a company in Zion, IL. This is a potential to hire position for 1st shift.

The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for accurately processing outbound shipments and inbound materials while ensuring compliance with company standards and client requirements. This role supports efficient warehouse and distribution operations through strong organization, attention to detail, and effective communication across teams.

Shipping and Receiving Clerk Responsibilities:
- Package and process internal and external shipments in accordance with client specifications and company standards
- Coordinate shipments using various carriers, including USPS (mailings), FedEx, UPS, common carriers and company truck
- Communicate shipment details and updates with production, sales, and clients as needed
- Generate and maintain shipment tracking reports
- Receive, inspect, and distribute incoming materials in a timely and accurate manner
- Process purchase orders and packing slips for all incoming goods
- Ensure materials are delivered to the appropriate locations within the shop or office
- Perform cycle counts as directed by the Distribution Manager to maintain inventory accuracy
- Assist the Distribution Manager with occasional production or custodial tasks as needed

Requirements for Shipping and Receiving Clerk:
- 1-2 years of shipping and receiving experience preferred; motivated, high-energy candidates will be considered for training
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and standard shipping software
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional internal and external interactions
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately interpret job orders, shipping instructions, purchase orders, and related documentation
- Valid driver's license for occasional local deliveries and pickups (mail, proofs, materials, etc.)
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Professional demeanor and ability to collaborate with a diverse team
