An immediate part-time contract opportunity is available to provide specialized instructional support in a flexible, collaborative district setting near Lowell, MA. Beginning as soon as possible and continuing through March 2026—with the possibility of contract extension—this assignment offers flexible weekly hours, ideally 10-15 per week, tailored around your availability and preferred age groups.

Your role will involve partnering with the district’s full-time Teacher of the Deaf to manage a growing caseload and ensure students receive the individualized instruction and advocacy they need. The district is open to discussing and adjusting your student caseload and school placements to match your strengths and interests.

Qualifications:

• Current Massachusetts Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing certification
• Prior experience working with school-aged students who are deaf or hard of hearing
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility and adaptability to support various age groups and settings

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction to students according to Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Partner with the district’s team to address a diverse, district-wide student caseload
• Advocate for student access, accommodations, and participation in the school environment
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings as needed
• Communicate regularly with staff and families to foster student progress
