The Ads Platform team at Netflix is dedicated to creating a world‑class advertising ecosystem that drives our advertising business. The team’s mission is to develop advanced technology that ensures exceptional experiences for both our members and advertisers. Responsibilities encompass a broad spectrum of products, ranging from sales and media planning to optimizing advertiser outcomes and execution. This includes inventory and order management, campaign execution, ad serving, audience and identity management, measurement, reporting, and finance. We use several Netflix innovations – a unique mix of client and server‑side ad insertions, state‑of‑the‑art content delivery systems, ad encoding recipes, content understanding, and metadata. We deliver ads in a manner that’s thoughtful of our member’s viewing experience and drive great outcomes for advertisers. We also ensure advertiser brand safety during serving so that members only see the most appropriate ads for them. We are looking for a highly motivated leader to spearhead the development of our foundational Conversion API features. This new, dedicated team will focus on building zero‑to‑one Conversion API capabilities that are important to powering the future of Netflix Ads. Skills & experience we’re seeking Proven track record of leading engineering teams in the end‑to‑end design and operation of Conversion APIs, specifically handling server‑to‑server, pixel, and batch ingestion methods. Deep technical expertise in managing distributed systems that create gold data sets through identity enrichment, attribution logic, and complex deduplication. Hands‑on experience managing teams working with real‑time streaming technologies such as Kafka and Flink to process high‑velocity event data. Comprehensive understanding of the programmatic advertising landscape, including how conversion signals power measurement, retargeting, and outcome‑based optimization. Strong proficiency in navigating global ads regulations and ensuring all signal ingestion is compliant with regional privacy laws and consumer consent choices. Ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams to align CAPI technical roadmaps with broader business goals and advertiser needs. Demonstrated ability to grow engineering teams in emerging domains and guide them through the ambiguity of a rapidly evolving ad‑tech product. Nice to haves Familiarity with the implementation of Data Clean Rooms and multi‑party computation for secure data sharing. Experience navigating the unique identifiers and technical constraints inherent to the CTV and streaming advertising space. Knowledge of integrating with sophisticated identity graphs that bridge fragmented advertiser signals. Why Join Our Team? You will enable outcome‑based optimization driven by advanced machine learning and AI models. Generally, our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; there are no bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top‑of‑market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $436,000.00 – $791,000.00.
