Senior Estimator

Job Title: Senior EstimatorLocation: Portland, ORSalary Rate: $130,000 - $170,000We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to serve as the lead estimating professional within a growing general contracting organization. The ideal candidate brings strong general contracting experience across a diverse range of project types and values the opportunity to have meaningful influence in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment. ResponsibilitiesLead all phases of the estimating process, from project evaluation through final proposal submission.Analyze drawings, specifications, contracts, and supporting documents to develop accurate cost estimates.Perform quantity takeoffs and detailed pricing for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and general conditions.Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier bids.Develop conceptual, budgetary, negotiated, and competitive hard-bid estimates.Identify project risks, opportunities, assumptions, and value engineering options.Coordinate with project management and leadership teams during pursuit and preconstruction efforts.Prepare comprehensive bid packages, scopes of work, and estimate summaries.Maintain cost databases, historical pricing information, and estimating best practices.Support project handoff and transition to operations upon award.Qualifications10+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor.Proven ability to independently lead estimates from initial review through completed bid submission.Broad experience estimating projects ranging from approximately $500K to $50M.Experience across multiple construction scopes and project types, including federal projects, tenant improvements, public works, institutional, commercial, and ground-up construction.Strong knowledge of construction methods, means, scheduling, procurement, and subcontractor markets.Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.BenefitsFull Benefits
