We use naturalistic fMRI and computational modeling to study neural mechanisms of human memory and attention. year commitment is expected for this positionPurposeMain responsibilities include running fMRI and behavioral experiments and managing lab activities and personnel. This position is ideal for individuals who are seeking to gain research experience prior to graduate school.ResponsibilitiesThe research coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of a research program and managing administrative duties of the laboratory.Run fMRI and behavioral experiments and assist lab studies.Recruit and interact with participants and organize participant registryManage applications for the Institutional Review BoardDesign experiments, collect data, and preprocess and analyze dataLab management.Help onboard new lab membersMaintain lab documentationManage lab space and common areasAssist with reimbursement process and work with department administratorsOrganize lab funds and purchase supplies based on lab members’ needsAssist with writing scientific research articles and grant submissionsOrganize lab meetings and eventsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s (or expected) in psychology, neuroscience, or related fieldsAt least 3 years of experience coordinating or administering a program.Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriatePreferred Qualifications:Research experience with human participants and/or fMRIRelevant courseworkStrong communication and management skillsProgramming skillsSalary$38,500 - $40,000Work ShiftDepending on MRI schedule, working hours may extend to nights and weekends.Required MaterialsCVCover letter (a description of your research experience, interest, and evidence of management skills)2 contact for references.Important for applicants who are NOT current university employees or contingent workers: You will be prompted to submit your resume the first time you apply, then you will be provided an option to upload a new Resume for subsequent applications.
