Plante Moran Group Benefits Advisors II (PMGBA II), an affiliate entity of Plante & Moran, PLLC (PM), provides consulting and brokerage services to help clients create sustainable employee health and welfare benefit plans that are cost effective and help clients attract and retain talent.

Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

• Account management for all group benefit plan sponsors including:
  • Implementation
  • Employee open enrollment and communications
  • Assisting internal staff with report production/delivery
• Assist/work with underwriting & analytics staff with data management and collection from carriers for use in employer plan analytics
• Assist clients regarding carrier billings, premium statements, enrollment, eligibility, claim inquiry, etc.
• Maintain client relationship management in CRM
• Distribute periodic bulletins, alerts, compliance information/notices/plan materials, etc. to clients
• Assist with carrier reporting, commission payments, Schedule A 5500 reporting, etc.
• Support and participate in practice development
• Assist practice leadership in developing more efficient methods to support client plan

The qualifications.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications or related field
• Interest or experience in benefits administration, employee benefits, healthcare, insurance, human resources, or client services.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex situations with persistence and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, follow through on commitments, and drive issues to resolution.
• Comfort working in ambiguous situations where solutions are not always immediately clear.
• Strong customer service orientation with a desire to build relationships and deliver an exceptional client experience.
• Proficiency in working with Microsoft tools such as; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

This is an exempt position that may require some local, national, and occasional international travel.

We are pleased to offer eligible staff a robust benefits package. Eligibility and contribution requirements for some of these benefits vary based on the number of hours staff work per week. Highlights include health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. A pension plan is also available for eligible administrative and paraprofessional staff. A discretionary bonus plan is available for eligible staff. Plante Moran also offers some contingent staff positions the option to elect health insurance in addition to limited paid sick time.

The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. Please review the position description for the applicable geographic location. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range, as compensation decisions take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. For early career roles, including campus hires, we offer standardized, market-based starting salaries among individuals within the same hiring group. This approach ensures fairness and reflects current industry benchmarks for entry-level talent.

The compensation range for this role in CO, IL, OH, and MA is: $65,000.00 - $91,000.00
