Mechanic Helper

Summary: Assists mechanics by performing the primary function of sewing equipment maintenance, such as lubricating equipment, installing needle protectors, and performing other assigned tasks.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Does preventive maintenance on equipment (i.e., change oil, blow motors, adjust machines,clean machines, check times)Record keeping- records equipment preventive maintenance by keeping logs on maintenanceperformed. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.Physical Demands: Must reach all areas of the sewing machine on the production floor. Also, you must be able to lift and carry at least 20 lbs. Good hand and finger coordination, as well as the safe operation of hand tools such as screwdrivers, vacuum cleaners, wrenches, and brushes.
