Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric ED RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring at least one year of recent pediatric ED experience and multiple pediatric and emergency certifications.

Details

• Work in a 23-bed Pediatric Emergency Department
• Unit staffed with Day and Night shift RNs, charge nurses, EMTs, and a unit clerk
• Patient ratios are 4:1, increasing to 5:1 during surge
• Uses GE monitors for patient monitoring
• Charting performed in Meditech EMR
• 13-week assignment on a 7P-7A night shift schedule
• Typical procedures include port access, IV starts, venipuncture, nasal wash, point of care glucose testing, EKG, and Foley placement

Requirements

• Active CO or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of current Pediatric ED RN experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC (PALS accepted in lieu of ENPC)
• CEN and CPEN certifications preferred
• US IV competency preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
