Rehabilitation Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Rehabilitation Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Current Illinois Registered Nurse license Certifications: Current CPR/BLS Card Must-Have: Stroke certification is a plus, but not required Description: This position is for a day shift in inpatient rehabilitation. Responsibilities include performing all the same tasks as a medical floor except for managing Heparin Drips. The patient population is primarily neurological, with a high focus on stroke patients. Assess patients to determine their mental, physical, and spiritual needs. Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary health care team. Provide explanations and instructions to patients and their responsible party. Use clinical judgment to identify and report changes in patient condition. Contribute to a healthy workplace environment by effectively managing conflict using professional communication skills. Meet core measure responsibilities related to patient care. Participate in continuing education to enhance professional development. Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
