Position Type: Part-Time - Fridays only

Schedule:

Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm

Compensation

Hourly Rate: $38–$40/hour
Annualized Compensation: Approximately $9,880 – $10,400/year based on the current schedule

Position Summary

We are seeking a patient-focused Registered Dental Hygienist to join a modern, well-established dental practice in Shallotte, NC. This part-time opportunity is ideal for a hygienist looking for a consistent weekly schedule while working in a supportive, team-oriented environment that prioritizes patient care and clinical excellence.

This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive preventive care, patient education, and periodontal support while building strong relationships with patients in a welcoming practice environment.

Located near the North Carolina coast, Shallotte offers a relaxed coastal lifestyle with convenient access to beaches, outdoor recreation, and nearby Wilmington and Myrtle Beach communities.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional, patient-centered care with a strong emphasis on education and trust-building
Perform dental prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and preventive hygiene procedures
Conduct periodontal assessments and oral cancer screenings
Take and interpret dental radiographs
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies
Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation
Collaborate closely with doctors and team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Support a positive, efficient, and team-oriented clinical environment

Qualifications

Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of North Carolina
Current CPR/BLS certification
Strong communication skills and a patient-first mindset
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care
Open to both experienced hygienists and strong new graduates
